  Marketing Insights Analyst

Data Analytics & Reporting
We are looking for a talented individual to join our team in the position of Marketing Insights Analyst. The primary responsibility is to leverage customer data to deliver recommendations that drive optimal customer journeys and experiences.

The role will sit within the Advanced Analytics & Data Science Team in Marketing Analytics team and support Marketing across BMO FG with proactive, actionable insights for both Retail and Wealth customers. The successful candidate will be able to go beyond analytics/reporting to provide actionable insights and will be involved in all stages of projects from intake, prioritization, tracking, and presentations to stakeholders and senior executives.

The Marketing Analytics Insights Analyst will work with other analytics group within BMO to develop the analytics community, provide thought leadership and set best practices in analytics across BMO.

Key Accountabilities

Analytic Capabilities & Critical Thinking


  • Internalize and understand the larger context of customer data elements and leverage a strong awareness of how customer and account attributes intersect.
  • Supports data collection, integration, and retention requirements for both data and customers
  • Analyze large, complex datasets (from multiple sources both structured and unstructured) to drive insights and recommendations.
  • Understand business KPIs, and relevant drivers and factors that can help reach business objectives.
  • Works with business partners around the enterprise to design, develop, and implement analytics/machine learning solutions that drive measurable marketing outcomes and create a distinctive customer experience
  • Leverage customer and digital data to develop analytical self-service tools and strategic insights to help our marketing partners understand their customer behaviours to provide personalized offers
  • Applies innovative and best practices to advanced analytics services to ensure high quality standards.
    Leadership and Relationship Management
  • Determines the best approach for eliciting, analyzing, validating, and prioritizing requests to ensure that the necessary information is captured from the relevant stakeholders to address the business needs
  • Ensure effective project tracking and status reporting using Workfront project management software
  • Ensures effective communication with all necessary stakeholders, presents results to executives
  • The individual will have an end-to-end project accountability beginning with understanding the business KPIs. They will leverage their expertise to go beyond the request to address the business problem, and be able to explain technical results to a non technical audience and related them to business KPIs

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge


  • BS/BA in Commerce, Finance, Statistics, Quantitative methods, Math, Computer Science, Marketing, or similar.
  • 1+ year of applicable experience.
  • Strong foundation in data and analysis.
  • Ability to pull data from multiple sources and formulate comprehensive and actionable reports
  • Strong analytic and pattern recognition to connect causal factors and form hypotheses.


Skills


  • Experience with customer database and programming queries in SAS or SQL (Python, R, Hadoop experience an asset)
  • Experience in data visualization preferred, including visualization software such as Power BI, Spotfire or Tableau.
  • Influential skills sufficient to resolve situations where others need to be convinced of the value of preferred options or alternatives

BMO Operations analyst

  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Provides initial triage, investigation and resolution of incidents. This may include automated code to production, automated recovery scripts and runbook execution.
  • Deploys automated code to production.
  • Provides end to end technology support including computer, applications, network and storage, and root-cause analysis etc.
  • Drives and/or promotes new processes, systems, technology, and operations and expanded capabilities for performance, with the flexibility to align to the unique requirements of the project teams and deliverables.
  • Proactively monitors system performance and identifies operational improvements, in ensuring smooth and consistent customer and business partner delivery.

    Qualifications:
  • Typically 1- 2 years of work experience in IT or business environment and/or B.S./B.A. in computer science, engineering, information systems, math or business.
  • Understanding of Information Technology operating processes used for systems to ensure effective delivery including but not limited to IT Operations mandatory operating standards for monitoring, logging, and alerting.
  • Knowledge of support and operations practice, concepts, and technology obtained through formal training and/or work experience.
  • Technical and/or business functional knowledge of systems, tools, timing, and dependencies.
  • Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

TD Business Analyst

Job Requirements

Rogers Backend Developer

This role will work with a diverse, tight-knit development and product team to build a new, enterprise-wide Knowledge Management application in the cloud. CIBC Mello ETF Analyst, Fund Accounting


Position Overview:
The ETF Analyst, Fund Accounting, performs all necessary analysis and accounting functions to produce accurate and timely INAV information for a broad range of ETF providers.
Responsibilities:
-Preparing and reviewing P&L projections to produce daily iNAV data for ETF basket and iNAV files
-Analyzing corporate action forecasts to project accurate share positions, and reviewing accounting entries to ensure accurate reflection of all corporate action events
-Analyzing daily trade activity to ensure accurate projection of portfolio positions
-Ensuring successful roll forward of security market prices in the accounting system
-Processing and reviewing ETF creation/redemption orders
-Conducting accurate reviews of assigned ETF iNAVs and ensuring all control checks are performed
-Providing accurate and timely accounting data to CIBC Mellon’s global partners, client ETF sponsors, and other stakeholders
-Preparing and Projecting T3/T5 income distribution rates and factors for periodic fund distributions
-Troubleshooting rejected baskets, investigating iNAV related issues, and analyzing iNAV movements for reasonableness
-Responding to client ETF basket and INAV inquiries
-Consulting with senior staff to make any necessary adjustments to transactions that impact iNAV valuation of ETF funds
-Work with various Fund Accounting teams to assist with problem resolutions related to ETF NAVs, and to assist with Fund Accounting duties on ETF products as needed, including but not limited to, NAV reviews, expense analysis, corporate actions, and distributions
Qualifications:
-Completed post-secondary education
-A minimum of 1 year in Fund Accounting, experience with ETFs preferred
-Advanced knowledge of ETF products
-Advanced knowledge of office productivity software (e.g. Microsoft Excel)
