Company Overview Newly established,fast-paced Canadian industrial manufacturing company located in the industrialcenter of Kitchener. Job Overview Reporting to the VPFinance, you will be responsible for preparing and supervising full cycle accounting,preparing financial statements and corporate tax filings, for both themanufacturing company and its subsidiaries and holding company. You willsupervise month-ending closing and prepare periodical financial packages forsenior management. You will be extensivelyinvolved in the planning & budgeting process and preparing internal cashflow forecast. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: · Accountingjournal entries preparation and review, account reconciliations and month-endclosing procedures · Payrollprocess administration, remittances and accounting · Monitoring APand AR functions · GST/HST andother regulatory filings · Assistingwith annual corporate income tax filings · Financialreporting, using accounting system software to fullest system capabilities · Accountschedules and analyses at summarized levels · Fixed assetssafeguarding procedures, ie: reconciliations and records · Preparetimely cash flow forecast · Preparationof information for external auditors · Programmingand designing financial reports in accounting software and/or Excel · Treasurytransactions administration Core Competencies / Requirements · Comfortable working in a growth-oriented /less structured environment with the ability to implement underlying processesand structure · Strong influencing and interpersonal skills andability to coach and develop accounting staff · Persistence and sense of urgency to ensuredeadlines are met · Ability to multi-task, prioritize and managetime efficiently · Detail oriented – ability to identifyirregularities or inconsistencies TechnicalSkills / Requirements · Designated accountant (CA, CGA, CMA) orequivalent professional training/experience · 3+ years of experience in a similaraccounting role, preferable in the manufacturing sector · Experience with financial reporting, underCanadian GAAP and/or IFRS · Ability to research accounting issues,improve internal control process and discuss alternatives and makerecommendations · Knowledge of Excel and Word · Experience with accounting software Remuneration Annualsalary of CA$55,000 – $68,000, vacation and group benefit plan
