I Was Wrong About China - It's NOT What They're Telling Youhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YY2Zbkc7UI

Willy OAM  2026

为什么呢?因为实际上存在着“两个中国”。我所成长的澳大利亚,与我父母那一代所经历的澳大利亚截然不同;

Willy OAM  2026

I served in the Australian Infantry from 2014 to 2021, with specialist qualifications in Heavy Weapons and Anti-Armour, as well as Combat First Aid. I deployed to Afghanistan as a crew commander of an Armoured Mobility Vehicle. Upon my return, I was unexpectedly diagnosed with an incurable and inoperable brain tumour that is slowly killing me. I was also awarded the Queen’s Order of Australia Medal (OAM), hence the post-nominals after my name. After being medically separated from the Army, I flew to Ukraine in 2022 for six and a half months. I now make content full-time. I really appreciate you being here. Thank you.

That is on. Well, I'm in frame. Good day, legends. I hope you're having a fantastic day. A fantastic few weeks that I've been absent. And well, nihow.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Welcome from Guanjo. This is of course down in the southeast of China and part
of the Pearl River Delta. And this is home to well almost 90 million people.
this city of course just under 20 million but all the way down on the Pearl River well far far more now you
may hear in my voice you may even see that I am not very well I've come down with a bit of a illness over the past couple of days and every time I travel
with my compromised immune system from all of the chemotherapy and a couple of beers here and there I always tend to come down with something but I leave in
a few hours back home I spent 3 weeks in China for my third trip this year.
And it does seem like I can't get enough of it. If you see me struggling a bit with my microphone, it's because the wind is flipping all the pages around on
my notebook. But what I want to talk about is just my further experience, further learning around China and ideas,
conversations, just a little bit of everything. And how that China is just so different from what I expected when I first came here earlier this year. the
fear that I've spoken about crossing the border, fearing that my back is going to give out because I'm going to be making a rail wave for the next two decades of
my life. And once again, you see the US State Department saying that people that go to China are going to be arrested trying to leave the airport. And what
I'll say is, well, I would be a prime candidate for something like that. I have a big social media following. I've
been outspoken against China, the party, the leadership, the history before. I have a military background. I've held
security clearances at points. I've been to countries which may look incredibly suspicious and I have well incredible fears when I first crossed the border,
but each time I've come and the prejudice that I have have further just eroded and collapsed away. And what I'll
say is if you're Ken from Kentucky, you're not going to have many problems coming here. Well, I haven't had any.
It's actually been a lot easier than many other borders to cross. I spoken about how crossing into the UK is the most difficult situation I have ever
had. And I don't know if many many if I could actually cross it back into the UK or America at this point in time, which
is incredible to say if someone who's served on operations with both of those states. But what I want to talk about is
the separation of people and the government and the criticism many have. And many people, they don't like China.
They judge China off its government.
What they never seem to criticize or judge is the outcomes the government has produced for the people. They criticize because the government has the word
communist in its name. Now, I've said many times and many others, including some of the leading West academics on China, they really push back on the term
communism. And I've said it's more of a branding uh issue than actually what is represented by a nationalist social
capitalist system. I know that Mr. Kevin Rudd who had the pleasure of meeting that he would say it is a Leninist
Marxist nationalist system. But what I would like to really say to people is
since when do we judge an entire state especially one well over a billion people on just the government? And I see
a lot of Americans pushing this. And I'd say, well, would you at this point in time like to be judged of your
government, like all 350 million Americans based off the actions of your government at the moment, which at the
majority of the world see that government as a technocratic oligarchy
at best and a corrupted, compromised, satanic
cult at worst with just not a single uh arrest coming from the files that were
released. But what I'd ask is at what point do you do that? Because I sure as hell hope that you don't judge me off
than my government. And well, if I guess you could further go on this and say, well, a democratic government is more
sometimes more representative of the people because it's a representative democratic elected system rather than a
more authoritarian system than that. And even in our system, I'd say don't judge well don't judge the people by said
leader leadership or party whether it be in a one party system like this or in a multi-party system or really a two-party
system like Australia, the US or many other states. And it's always interesting to see most of this criticism coming from the right wing.
when I'll say is there's a lot in China that the rightwing are actually really wanting for like increased nationalism,
increased powers in some areas. They just don't like maybe that there is a
redistribution of some assets away from just a few billionaires as well. So, I'm going to go through a lot of the notes
that I have here, but I think that was just an important note to go. If you don't like the government, you don't like the party, that's fine. you should
maybe research more in but if you even if you do that and say I just don't like it fine you don't like the leader fine but to just say then all the people I
hate all it is just so baseline stupid for a country with this history this
many people and the development which has occurred especially over the last few decades with hundreds of millions of
people coming out of poverty if you want to push back on anything, I'd say here, fine. But what I would really ask you to
do is well, come here. Cuz if you want to destroy any prejudice or destroy a lot of propaganda, come here. What I'll
say is this is a city just here of almost 20 million people in a greater metropolitan of 90 million people. And
you know where's not on fire at the moment? Here. Okay, it will destroy a lot. Now, there's things which you may
not like. That's fine. And there's things that concern me too. The level of censorship, the level of surveillance,
uh some overreaching unity laws, I think as well outside of borders have concerned. But as I said, well, I've
been here. I've been to Taiwan. I'll be doing more in Hong Kong and Taiwan in the future. I've been outspoken not only
about the party she and some concerns of which my friends maybe have here. And well, I'm back and I've been asked to
give multiple keynotes while I've actually been here. So, and I should say as well, sorry, that a lot of this has
been definitely seen because some of my videos went incredibly viral on Billy Billy. And while I've been here in some of my keynotes and some uh media as
well, I've called out and I've said, well, some of the actions taken towards Australia wasn't economic competitiveness. It was economic
coercion against a smaller state. And I believe some of the military actions are incredibly dangerous and incredibly unprofessional.
So, we've done all of this. Yes, I've spoken about surveillance and censorship, but also I think there's a lot of throwing stones in glass houses around this. Um, when did I first know
that China was a lot different to what I expected? It was actually back on one of my first trips and it happened very similarly again is I had a bit of a
buzz. We're drinking some beers actually at a Japanese uh restaurant down in Fujian Province. We're in a car driving towards a pub listening to I don't know
what it is, but a lot of Chinese really like Tech 9 and Caribou if you know the rappers. Firstly, fantastic because I
remember every like everything I've done it always gets sort of a song attached to it. I remember I was working with um this team in actually in Ukraine near
the front line in hard give and the song of the trip was um 151 rum by Caribou Lu and Tech9. So I have a bit of an
affinity for those guys but just guys being like this is a song that I like and putting it on the car radio and driving around. That's when I knew this
might be a lot different from what uh I actually expected. Of course what I do a lot of is talking to young people here.
Why? There's really two China. The Australia that I grew up in is different to my parents. I think objectively worse
than my parents in many ways. The China that a 30-year-old or a 20-year-old would grow up in is way more different
to the China my if my parents age would grow up in, but objectively far better.
So that's something to take into account as well. That's why there is a growth of nationalism as well. But why I say that is the difference in Australia of my
parents and me this much. The difference between China of my parents and me ages is completely completely different. Hey
legends, I'm back home. I'm still very unwell. But I just wanted to add a few more things to the video that I think that I missed particularly about that
generational shift and the difference I see in the generations. but also the relationship difference between the
generations. So firstly, let's look at the before and after photos that you see coming out of China versus the ones that
you'll see coming out of the west. And you'll notice that they are the exact opposite. Notice any photos that are
1990 of Shenzen, Shanghai, Chongqing, etc. It will show how much better things
have got. It will show a city that was run down with poverty and now a super city. That photograph of the Chinese
train driver in front of a coal powered locomotive and now in front of a highspeed rail. So these photos showing what has become progression.
Notice the difference in the photos coming out of Sydney or Paris or London or Berlin. Or I could continue. It shows the opposite. It shows look what we had.
Wish we could go back. That is the before and after photos. Now, is there likely some propaganda element, information element to this? Yeah, sure.
Whatever. Maybe a bit. But the accounts sharing it. You see, yeah, there's this want in the West to go back to the
2000s, back to the '90s, this idea of regression or even conserving that where in China there's this idea of
progressing and it's going to get better. And that is a big difference in even those just before and after photos.
But that I want to then extend onto the generational relationship is vastly
different. So I'm 30. So I'm probably in a bit of a bad generation for this cuz I'm somewhat in between like the 20 year
olds and the 60-y olds. Although I would more like to say relate to the younger generation again. But in China, there is
a huge respect for the older generation or you'd say the boomer generation as we would call it here where in the west there's a bit of a disrespect.
Why? Well, I think it's very similar to that before and after photos that I spoke about. Why? Okay, I'm going to go
over this and I think there'll be a lot of people push back on this probably in that boomer generation, but I hold with me for a second
because what the younger generation in China is seeing is that they are moving
into a better state than their parents or grandparents inherited. that the China they are entering that they are
working in is a better state of than which their parents or grandparents lived in
have this overlay that with how many young people feel in America or Australia or in Europe what they see
these young 20 30 year olds when they look at the 50 60 70 year olds is they see a generation that plundered the
resources and opportunities they destroyed much of the culture and voted their way out of having any sort of culture,
then pulled the ladder up behind them, leaving maybe subjectively, I would say objectively, but maybe subjectively
leaving a worse state. Therefore, the younger generation has a wish to regress
and we want to go back to what we had in the year 2000. We want to go back to what we had in 1990. like the
photographs you will see where in China there's not many Chinese at all who wish to go back to the year 2000 or year 1990
especially the younger generation and this the respect for the old for the older generation that's why that is
there and in many western states is absolutely not there they see that that generation took everything
lived in these very for relative relatively easier times. Super cheap
housing, incredible job market, incredible stock market, job security, multiple kids. You know, the economy was
good when some guys had a second family on the go, where now you're paying, well, Ben Shapiro would say it's fine to spend $20 on a on a hamburger. Okay.
Where in China, it's actually the exact opposite to people go look at the China they lived in and look at what they are leaving us. They grew up when when
Chongqing looked like this. What they're leaving us is this. And that relationship between the 20 25 year olds
to the 60-year-olds is the opposite of what I say the relationship is between those generations in the west. What is
it? Well, it's driven by the outcomes and the experiences of which they are
living through. And even now we have that same generation in a lot of political circles and a lot of media circles now telling that younger
generation who's inherited then a lack of culture, the inability to earn enough money to survive, etc., etc., etc. Now
telling that generation, you better be ready for war, young Londoner. Yes, we've destroyed your culture. Yes, we've immigrated you out of existence. Yes, we've done this. Yes, we've done that.
But hey, go and serve your nation under a party or government that hates you.
And that's how a lot of people are feeling. And I don't see that on this side. I actually see quite the opposite.
And I think those photographs that you see go viral online, whether it be wanting to regress to Paris in 1939 or
what or in 2000, it's the opposite. I think that's very interesting. I think that generational
morale, generational uh nationalism, I think we're going to see far more of that. I speak to all
these young uni students at these universities all across China. And it's very funny their passion for China. If I
were to step into a university in America or Australia, how many students do you think would have a real passion
for the current government, the uh direction of the state and the older generation?
I'll let you discuss and and argue about that in the comments. Okay, back to the rest. And I talked to a lot of young people because that is well the future
of this country. And I talked to a lot of these people and quite openly about politics which really really surprised
me. And the one thing I find is a lot of them are quite content with the party and the direction of China but that
there is some concern or criticism around Xi Jinping the president of China. And the main thing I hear here is
that they are concerned about the contradiction that ever since really den this idea of opening China up and they
feel like in the past few years there's been more constraint on them although visa free entries things like this in China they feel like locally there's
been a little bit more than restrictions applied and trust me of the generation I'm talking to you're not the only
generation around the world that is feeling like this and I think I'm talking about things like this on camera. This may go
on Billy Billy if someone I don't have an account if it gets copied across and it's amazing that to speak about these things that this actually from my
prejudice had built up that it would actually been allowed to come back and that's why I say come here if you want and a excuse [clears throat] me a very
different view of what this state is uh and represents. Like I say, nothing's burning down here, but overall very
happy I think they are with the party, the direction, but just concerned of it feels like it's being restricted a bit.
The visa free entry thing thing though, I think is the best move China has ever made because honestly, I wouldn't have
been bothered to do a visa if I knew it was maybe going to get rejected. Well, I would have thought it was going to get rejected. So, I see a lot of foreigners
here, a lot of Americans, a lot of Russians. I have a few tips for the Americans and Russians. Firstly, Chinese people are just so friendly. Russians,
Eastern Europeans, I know are some of the most lovely people, but just cold.
Americans, why are you so [ __ ] loud and obnoxious everywhere? My god. But the visa for entry, it's many different
people coming. I've met a lot of people as well from like Brazil as well. But that's really shown a different China to
so many people. But I want to continue speaking on everyone's experience here with the people. As I said earlier, when
do we judge Sorry, I thought I heard a drone, but it was that boat behind me.
Since when do we judge a complete state of just the government and not the people? And what has my experience been with the people? Well, the same as the
first time I've come. And this trip I've done a lot more. I've done areas down here, of course. I've been in the capital again, but I've been in the
center as well to many different areas I've never even heard of like Shinyu as well. And everywhere people are warm, friendly, but they're genuine as well.
And this is something I've found in some states around the world. People often are very polite, but there's a feeling
of not being genuine. And in some countries, some people might not seem that polite, but they're incredibly
genuine. And I sometimes feel this in maybe Eastern Europe. They might be a bit closed off, maybe not as open, but
they are so genuine. And that is something which I found here is not only warm, but also incredibly genuine, but
welcoming. getting stopped at traffic lights. I'll get in a DD, which is like the Uber here, and people quite often
asking, "Where are you from?" Uh, and then, you know, welcome to China. Do you need anything? Have you had any problems? No worries at all. Always just
again wanting to have conversations. But that language barrier always being a problem. But the amount of times I've
been stopped just to ask, you know, uh, how are you, where are you from, and welcome to China has been unbelievable.
Now, uh, oh, sorry, I should say that's something I've spoken to some other travelers that they see different from other Asian countries is I've never been
pushed back from entering like a bar or a restaurant here at all. The exact opposite. I've been tried to like, come in, please, please, where are you from?
in some Asian countries that may seem on the surface incredibly incredibly welcoming behind the scenes really don't
want you and a lot of people getting pushed back uh from bars. So, I've spoken about the young people. Let's
continue on that. Sorry, I'm a little bit over with my notes. I've been in bed for a couple of days. Um so that young
people that contradiction it'll be very interesting to see the trajectory over the next say decade and a lot of people
really uh interested to see where comes after the Xiinping period especially as
the generation who has grown up in a different China get more senior positions within the party structure.
Now uh if you compare this with the west as I've been saying about that people are you know some younger people aren't
happy with the leader but they're pretty content with the party. When I compare this with the yet with west, there is no
young person that I know who is actually happy with the parties, the leaders or
the system in general. And they are all three different things in a democracy,
in a authoritarian state, in a one party. They are different things. And that's what I'll say is young people
here seem like, I don't even think about politics. And I've heard that often. I don't think about politics. Uh but you know the the leadership I've seen a bit
of contradiction in compared to with the west the political violence that we are seeing. Uh no one is happy with the
system in any regard whatsoever all the way through to well lighting things on fire and I see that there's going to be
a lot more political violence uh in the future. Sadly, it also I could really see the collapse of a major European
state within the next decade. And that's just something I think of as very different is that contentment questions
massive discontentment wanting a complete system reset. I've even asked some of my friends, "Oh, look, can I take a photo of this building, this
area, and it being like a running joke of this isn't North Korea, Matt, much as the running joke with a lot of my
friends here around um the at what cost?" So, they'll be like, "Oh, do you need any help with getting a ticket for this high speed
ticket for this?" And I'm like, "Oh, no, no, it's all good." Like, "Well, BBC report it. At what cost does this exist?" But I ask people about to speak
about young people the politics I want to speak about legitimacy and do see
people see the system here as legitimate well there's a question here as well
around what makes a system legitimate and I think that there is the very liberal idea to this and the more
realist idea to this and my overall answer would be yes people see the system here as legit. legitimate.
Why? How is this different to maybe how we see ours as legitimate and theirs is unleit when I speak in liberal terms?
Well, here people see it as legitimacy through outcome. That the outcome and that betterment, the trajectory up that
that is its legitimacy, not in its structural legitimacy of just being democratic. And this is something I
think that I'm going to do more uh thinking about, more writing on in the future is that it's not just the
structure of how that party or how the leader gets there that makes it legitimate and then nothing beyond that matters at all and that there is really
an idea and a belief and I agree with this that liberal states have grown complacent
in procedural legitimacy rather than outcome. come legitimacy that no matter
how corrupt, how incompetent, how worse things become that they focus that well
no but the procedure by which X got here that is legitimate. So nothing beyond that matters whatsoever. And what I'll
see is there's a lot of young people in the west questioning this procedural or structural legitimacy based on the
outcome is objectively worse that they're going well actually how legitimate is that process in a two-party system say that is incredibly
influenced by super PACs, foreign countries, maybe Hollywood and maybe tech algorithms. Like how structurally
legitimate really is that system? But then is it is it only seen as legitimate because of the procedure and the
structure in place or the outcome of which it delivers? And this is where I've seen a lot of young people saying
that if you could have a more competent uh more one party state that delivered there's a part in the I can't remember
his interviewer's name but it is with professor but that Jeang and Fuentes. So you can
speak on the right wing here, but I've seen similar on the left speaking about would you see that a more uh that a um a
what's the word I'm looking for for friendly or generous um oh you know what I mean? a a more a
generous, friendly, not super hardline dictator is what is needed to bring things somewhat forward because it seems
like we're in this stuck area at the moment. And I'm seeing more and more people on the right and left questioning this because it seems like whichever way
you vote in that structure that apparently is the legitimacy, you end up with an outcome which is eroding away regardless.
But these young people mainly that I speak to mainly in bars or cafes or restaurants or whatever that there is a
large gap between them and the older generation. And there's a photograph which popped into mind of a Chinese
train driver when he first started 30 years ago. old steam engine, big coal powered cast iron thing and just within
his career to a 350 400 km hour bullet drone. And these people have grown up in
very very different China and that as I said the difference between me and my parents is nowhere near the China here
and this is going to be very interesting to see how the party navigate this into the future with increased social media
presence, increased uh vision into world media. People think that this is completely controlled here that oh this
isn't this isn't North Korea Willie is people go we we watch you on YouTube we've seen you on Billy Billy we read
these papers we have VPNs it's it's not completely you travel here Willie as a journalist and talk to us here it's not
complete lockdown like you might think it's very funny to see running jokes about the amount of censorship in the UK
the Chinese are making jokes about that Uh but it's going to be interesting to see how this generational shift is
really navigated because there is that increased uh individuality and even there's a a change in etiquette
uh that you'll see the older generation uh more spitting on the ground. They even drive differently, different
collective thoughts too. So, it's going to be just interesting to see how that tr changes in the coming decades in
China. Do I think that they will navigate it? Yeah. Will the system maybe change? Well, maybe. So that is something if you know anything about
China's history whether from the dynasties to KMT nationalists who have now in Taiwan through to then the
communist party now is that navigating extremely turbulent times and the world is going through incredibly turbulent times.
But what I will say is I have a lot more confidence that China will be able to navigate the turbulence in the next coming decades than a lot of other
states will because I think well they've done it before over the most turbulent times in history even in then modern
history of the second world war and the amount of catastrophe that occurred here. But what I will say and like I
said of coming here and seeing China a lot of the criticisms I see of people who have never been here and criticize
away but you should come here and see it to get more of an opinion out like that knob Douglas Murray of have you been
there but I think of all the countries I've been to of where the difference between what I thought and what I saw was different was China and you don't
think that there's not multi-billion dollar campaigns to influence that way If China can continue even just on a
slower but the same trajectory of infrastructure of pushing more people into the middle class on gaining the
monopoly on some of these industries around the world I'll say the world is in for a huge huge shakeup
the visa free thing I think is the most powerful thing China has done since opening up under sharpening to and
special zones under a more capitalist structure. Why? Because people come here and see it and get that then torn away.
Then they talk to their friends about it. Where then does the censorship fit in?
Well, the censorship is very interesting. I actually think at this point in time somewhat useless.
Why? Okay, this is what I discussed last time was there's sort of two thoughts on the censorship. The thought in the west
is to maintain party narrative and control. That's definitely part of it.
The thought here though is more so to keep our narrative and our influence out. And what I say is it's actually a
bit of column A, bit of column B. But I think it's like 30% party control narrative and 70% trying to keep like
the Google Meta algorithm out and of course wanting to create unrest through
those as we have seen them used as tools that way. But what I'll say is and this is one of the big reasons uh I know uh
the professor Wong from the Renman University ultimately who invited me over this time excuse me [clears throat]
was the China maxing trend on social media regardless of the algorithms people coming here people seeing it and
people showing a different China and I think that the censorship barriers are actually somewhat uh stopping that being
seen in the test as well. And I wouldn't I wouldn't um hazard guess saying over the next few years we'll actually see
that censorship further decreased. I think drip feed slowly and maybe take a step and then step back. But it's even
like the clamping down of VPNs. Not like everyone uses one. Everyone has Spotify or watches Netflix or reads the Wall
Street Journal. Like it's a very common thing. But it is very generational. far more young people than old people just because the technological gap of saying
having a VPN like that. But I think we'll see as things then further improve here and likely further degrade in other
areas that opening up uh and reduction of uh censorship and seeing more out into the world actually become far more
relaxed to show a different China to the world. And I think you'll see a lot more people coming over here as tourists. And I think that's all the notes I've got.
We've jumped around a fair bit in this.
I'll be doing more in the future with likely with some think tanks in both Hong Kong and Taiwan as well. And I'm
sure that I'll be back in China at some point as well because honestly it's one of my I've traveled to dozens of
countries, many dozens of countries around the world and it's honestly one of my favorite if not my favorite place to visit. It's cheap but doesn't feel
exploitatively cheap. Uh the getting around is incredibly easy. You've got
rail, you've got metro, you've got DD, you've got higher bikes, you've got whatever. The payment systems are easy.
It's viseree. It's piss easy to get through uh the border. The people are not only polite, but they're also
genuine. Uh which there is a difference in that when you when you travel. Some some countries are very polite but not as genuine. Some are the opposite. It's
one of my favorite places to visit and I really say people should come and visit.
The last two weeks I've just been holidaying with my partner. She came across, we found some cheap flights after my week of meetings. She came
across and she's loved it. She said this is vastly different to what I expected and I would never have come here otherwise because of what she thought.
just to make you laugh. One of her comments she got off the plane, she goes, "Oh, that area looks like Chinatown." But I guess here it's just called town, which made me laugh to no end. So, I think we've covered a lot.
So, I was all over the place. I've been pretty unwell for the last couple of days. So, it's going to be very
interesting to see in this changing global climate just where China goes, if it can navigate the challenges coming
up. Do I think it's in a better position than many states to navigate that? Yes.
And if you've got prejudice against China, you've got criticism, fine. But we also need to contextualize where it
is. And if it's against the government and not the people, well, that's fair enough because well, I have the same against maybe here, maybe against the
US. And you should never just lump hundreds of millions of people or over a billion in a country like that with the government because I hope that you
wouldn't do that to me as an Aussie to my democratically elected government or the democratically elected government in
the US. You're just going to lump all those people in there. What I'll say is Midwest America is one of my favorite places in the world as well. And that
looks far different to what we are seeing take place in the White House.
the foreign policy, the domestic policy of which I just think is blanket absolutely disgusting in the US at the
moment. And I think one of the main reasons, the primary reason people are looking east instead of looking west, if you will, into America. And that's why
some in China call Trump the nationbuilding comrade. Is not because he's building the nation of the United
States. No, because he's helping build the reli the the credibility, the legitimacy of this nation because of the
decisions he's doing and people looking the other way. Now, I've taken up enough of your time. I've got some other videos
coming up which are just more travel stuff. We've spoken on a lot of topics here which I think some viewers might say, "Oh, you could never speak of that
in China." And I feel really no no pressure of speaking about this or speaking about this privately to people
as well. Is it as open maybe as some countries? No. Is it complete black and
white? God, no. When you've got Chinese joking about the level of social media
uh censorship and arrests in the UK, that's not a great
legends. You have a wonderful day. I'm going to go take some drugs, put on a mask, and get back onto a plane home. I hope that you have a wonderful day.
There's a so much more I'd like to talk about from this trip, but we'll do it in good time. Thank you for everything. And
if you've got the means, the time, well, you should come and visit a country like this. Thank you very much. I'll speak to you soon. Bye-bye.
Sorry, I just wanted to cut myself back in here for one second. speaking on that outcome legitimacy rather than just
structural procedural legitimacy. One thing which will become then further known into the future or maybe is if
then the outcomes delivered by the party here the one party the centralized party if those outcomes do start then eroding
away or being not delivered does that still hold legitimacy so in a
procedural legitimate system of where may a liberal state we'll see which I agree I think they've grown complacent
in. But there's the structure to fall back on. Often used as a scapegoat for
not delivering [ __ ] anything. But if then here the legitimacy is driven through outcome. If those outcomes stop
being delivered, what then occurs and does the system erode, collapse and a new system reborn under it? which is
what I actually I think we are somewhat going to see in the west is the procedure has lost its legitimacy in
many ways. The outcome hasn't had legitimacy for a long time. So therefore we're going to see an erosion of a system and a rebirth of maybe not a
completely new system but a slightly different system. But it will be interesting here if the party can't
deliver what they have over the past decades really the past previous few
decades as has really ramped up from decisions made decades before.
Where's the legitimacy then? And it is slowing. So how will that look? Well, it's something that we may see into the future. Okay, back to the rest.
I won't show you Lily cuz she's still very upset. But we got out of the car and I asked, "Have you got everything?" Only after the car pulled away, she
realized at the airport waiting for a flight, the phone is still within the
DD. I tell you, credit to DD and the police cuz the police saw that something was wrong cuz I was trying on my phone to to call. It came up Google Translate.
Translate is everything okay? Fully ran through. They made the call on their private phone. to took us aside, looked
after us to get it all back. Without the cops, we would have been absolutely stuffed because there was no language at
all. Um, so we transferred the guy about four times what the DD was because he had to do a full loop and come back. I
tell you, the experience here with the police, I couldn't say I couldn't sing higher praises of their treatment to
just help us random foreigners who forgot to phone out. But we need to make the flight.
